La traviata – Addio del passato

Talk with Leonardo Sini and Barbora Horáková Joly

Leonardo Sini conducts the Staatskapelle Dresden for the first time. For him it is a challenge to find his own way into the music of such a well-known opera as »La traviata«. An important part of his »own« traviata is to bring Violetta’s aria »Addio del passato« to the stage in full length, without the usual cut of the second strophe.

Premiere 2. October 2022
